Happy New Year!

When I opened my first store, Facebook was brand new. Wild, right? So much has changed since then — and somehow, so much hasn’t. This store was planted by a simple dream: to bring people together in a space that’s fun to be in, filled with things that make people smile. After all these years, that’s still what we live for.

I turned 50 last year (cue the SNL skit: “I’M FIFTY — I CAN KICK!”), and honestly, this next chapter is feeling pretty dang good. Not because everything is easy — far from it. The world feels majorly cracked open right now. But wisdom has a way of guiding us through the chaos, and I keep coming back to this simple truth: joy begins with me.

It’s my mission to make Joyville a classroom of kindness: a place to practice self-love, even through mistakes and doubt; a place to invite people in and inspire happiness; a place to serve others — which is the greatest privilege of all.

👋 Meet Bridgette — Favor the Kind Dallas Store Director
She joined us last fall and we are swooning. She recently got engaged and definitely has that bridal glow! Her favorite brands at FTK are Free People, Be Golden, and Sweet Repeat!
