Operations & Visual Captain

Favor the Kind — Crested Butte, CO

Pay: $20–$22 per hour

Schedule: Full-time preferred (part-time considered)

Favor the Kind in Crested Butte is looking for an Inventory & Visual Captain to help keep our store running beautifully behind the scenes.

This is a Captain-level role for someone who loves organization, systems, and making retail environments look amazing. You’ll manage the flow of product from the moment it arrives to the moment it lands on the floor — ensuring everything is tagged, placed, and merchandised to our very high standards.

While this role supports the whole store, the primary focus is off the sales floor managing product flow, inventory organization, and visual merchandising.

What You'll Do

Product Flow

• Receive and unpack incoming merchandise shipments
• Tag and prepare products for the sales floor
• Maintain organized stockroom systems
• Ensure new products are processed and placed accurately and efficiently

Visual Standards

• Execute and maintain our Visual Victory merchandising standards
• Place and present new products thoughtfully on the sales floor
• Maintain clean, organized, inspiring displays
• Support restocking and ongoing product presentation

Leadership Support

• Serve as a Captain-level leader on the team
• Be trained to help manage store coverage when needed
• Support a positive culture rooted in kindness, accountability, and pride in the work

What We're Looking For

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Pride in doing things well and maintaining high standards
• Ability to lift and move merchandise shipments
• Retail, merchandising, or inventory experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and follow established systems
• Someone who appreciates beautiful retail environments and thoughtful presentation
